What’s Your Superpower for Change?

What’s Your Superpower for Change?

At Project Morry, we believe that everyone has the power to make positive change in their lives and communities. The last 18 months have been challenging for all of us. The effects of the pandemic have disproportionately affected our students, families, and their communities. Despite these challenges, Project Morry students have persevered.

2021 has been a year of highs and lows and ongoing uncertainty. Our nearly 400 students have navigated school openings and closings, the triumphant return to in-person summer camp, covid tests and quarantines, virtual career panels, and a 92% college acceptance rate. Through it all, they have used their voices to advocate and create change for themselves and their communities.

Project Morry Makes Real Change. We make a ten-year commitment to our students and their families through year-round programming from 4th grade through the first year of college. This unique long-term partnership is built on trust, consistency, and expectations that create authentic opportunities for youth to change the trajectory of their lives and the lives of those around them.

When we asked our students to name their superpowers for change, they said: Empathy, Kindness, Open Mindedness, Courage, Resilience, and Advocacy. They know the power in giving back to their communities and each other.

Project Morry’s Superpower is Our Community. With the support of our Project Morry families, students, community partners, board members, donors, and volunteers, we are able to continue empowering and supporting our students. That support is vital in making Project Morry’s programming and impact possible.

What Will Your Superpower Be? Donate by December 31st to support our students in creating long-term positive change.

Thank you for supporting our students in the moments when it matters most. We cannot do our work with you!
