On Wednesday, November 6, 2019 we celebrated the 2019 Annual Benefit for Project Morry at beautiful Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers on the Hudson River. The benefit raised $1 million directly in support of Project Morry's year round programming, which closes the opportunity gap through a combination of academic enrichment and support, leadership development, exceptional summer camp experiences, and one-on-one mentoring.

The 24th summer of Morry's Camp started on June 28th with 65 new fourth and fifth graders experiencing their first summer of sleepaway camp and Project Morry. Over the summer 350 campers will attend Morry’s Camp, Project Morry’s residential summer learning program in rural Glen Spey, NY.

Project Morry is excited to announce David and Shelley Tager as the 2019 Morry Award recipients. The Tagers are past Project Morry Board Members and founders as well as Directors/Owners Emeritus of Camp IHC. David served as Project Morry Board President from 1998-2000, while Shelley was one of the founding members of Camps That Give, a fundraising partnership with private camps. The Tagers also introduced Project Morry to the United North Amityville Youth Organization (UNAYO) which has been a community partner for over 20 years. Please join us at Project Morry's Annual Benefit on November 6, 2019 to honor the Tagers' lasting commitment and impact on the organization and the children we serve.

Project Morry named a 21st Century Learning Exemplar, a national recognition of educational excellence, by Partnership for 21st Century Skills. This is the first year that The P21 Exemplar Program designated out-of-school-time entities as P21 Exemplars. In order to earn this designation, Project Morry demonstrated not just a commitment to developing the 4Cs and other 21st Century Skills, but also an expertise in the elements of: Student Agency, Distributed Leadership, a Climate of Achievement, Engaged Community, and the use of Evidence and Research.
