Project Morry

At Woodmont, our core values of Kindness, Confidence, and Respect are at the heart of everything we do. We strongly believe in teaching our community about the importance of helping others and the benefit of giving back.

Woodmont is a proud partner of Project Morry, a premier year-round youth development organization dedicated to empowering children from under-resourced communities to envision and establish a positive future. The program’s 10-year commitment to each child closes the opportunity gap through a combination of academic enrichment and support, leadership development and an exceptional summer camp experience.

The results are transformative: 98% of Project Morry students graduate high school on time; 88% attend college, and 91% of those students graduate. Beyond academics, Project Morry students exemplify their principles of teamwork, positive core values, volunteerism, and personal responsibility. They are leaders in their schools and in their communities.

Annual Project Morry Swim-a-Thon

Each summer, our Woodmont campers and staff put their values into action during our Annual Project Morry Swim-a-Thon. During their instructional swim period, campers swim (or walk) laps to raise funds for this incredible organization. Details about how to sponsor your camper’s laps and how to donate are sent via email the week prior to the event.

Woodmont is proud to be 1 of over 35 Camps That Give, each of which runs fundraising events similar to our Swim-a-Thon. We are always grateful for the ongoing support of our Woodmont families who help support our efforts in sharing the magic of camp and beyond.
