“Project Morry is more than just a place. It’s a community.”
Michelle, Project Morry Alum
Thanks to the generosity of those who believe in Project Morry, in 2016 400 young people from seven communities in New York City, Westchester, Long Island, and Connecticut participated in our nationally recognized year round program and attended summer camp. We celebrated the graduation of 80 high school seniors and welcomed 30 new 10 and 11 year olds to their first summer at camp.
Project Morry is a transformational experience for our youth. It becomes a home away from home where participants are encouraged to dream and take on challenges. Project Morry empowers young people, many with hectic lives and limited options for their future, with the support of a community that believes in their potential and is invested in their success. Over their nine year participation, we help them develop strengths, find their moral compass, and grow into confident, caring adults who enrich their own communities with their contributions.
“Project Morry showed me that no matter where I come from, my destination relies on me and my choices, and the choices I made were direct reflections of never wanting to let down the people who saw what I couldn’t see in myself.”
Siara, Project Morry Alum
As you prepare to share the holiday season with family and friends, we hope that you will also remember your Project Morry community with a gift to our 2016 Year End Appeal.
