2019 Annual Benefit Raises $1 Million for Project Morry
On Wednesday, November 6, 2019 we celebrated the 2019 Annual Benefit for Project Morry at beautiful Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers on the Hudson River. David and Shelley Tager, past Project Morry Board Members and founders as well as Directors/Owners Emeritus of Camp IHC were recognized with the 2019 Morry Award, Project Morry’s highest honor. Project Morry alumnus, Shanice Maxwell and her mother Denise Maxwell shared the ongoing impact of Project Morry on her life and career.
The benefit raised $1 million directly in support of Project Morry’s year round programming, which closes the opportunity gap through a combination of academic enrichment and support, leadership development, exceptional summer camp experiences, and one-on-one mentoring.
Project Morry empowers young people from under-resourced communities to create a positive future. Together we change outcomes for students from the tri-state area through proven programs: 98% of Project Morry students graduate from high school on time, 85% attend college and 91% of those who attend college graduate. In addition to their academic success, Project Morry students exemplify our principles of teamwork, positive core values, volunteerism and personal responsibility. They are leaders at school and in their communities.
Thank you to the entire Project Morry community!
